Hornby Island is a small island approximately 29 square Kilometers or 11.5 square miles, located off the coast of British Columbia, it enjoys a moderate climate ideal for bees and growing herbs. With a population between 500 and 900 people (growing upwards of 10,000 on some occasional in the summer), farmers on Hornby have a tradition of growing organically and using environmentally sustainable methods.
